I forgot to mention, but this here amazing portfolio got a Garden of the day ribbon. It was also chosen as Best of March 2009 at Css perk!
Designerblog.it also wrote a piece on me which you can see here (in italian). I had my “sister in law” translate it for me:
Emerging web designer Julius Mattson [sic] gets his own portfolio. Young Julius Mattson is a swedish web and graphic designer who launched his brand-new version of portfolio to introduce himself and to run for an employment in some influential professional studio. As you can see he does not lack graphic skills; his entire web site overlooks a far-west style, from the “wanted” joke to every single section: the never-missing blog, his works and contact page. It is not the first time that I observe such a form, which I find original.
The boy slips up sometimes and a few things look unappropiate to the style, like the “ripped” vectorial header. However, everything else is well designed, as the nice menu roller and the way contents are dealt with and recalled, also in homepage, are good.
Even if poor of notable clients and enriched with many still experimental works, we can have good expectations on Mattson [sic] and surely we’ll keep an eye on him.
